Our Story
Gaspedal Rötenbach is a place where technology, movement and conviviality come together. The electric kart track on the former hard court of TuS Rötenbach combines regional hospitality with an innovative leisure offering for all age groups.

We want to create a place where sustainable, electric driving fun and active exercise combine with nature in the Black Forest to become a special experience for families and friends.

Our Vision
We want to develop the kart track step by step into a versatile kart park. Additional kart variants are planned: from mini karts for the youngest among us to powerful, fully electric karts for adults.
Beyond that, we dream of expanding the site into a special destination for day trips and overnight stays: with extraordinary accommodation such as treehouses or a cosy barbecue hut, where groups can spend time together and even stay overnight.
We want to create a place that is more than just a simple kart track. A well-known address for adventure, community and unforgettable moments in the Black Forest Highlands.
Thomas - The Mind Behind
Tom comes from Rötenbach, and you could say he's never really been away. Even though training, university, work and half a trip around the world took him to many places, in the end it was always clear where he belonged: the Black Forest.
After completing an apprenticeship and gaining his university entrance qualification, he went on to study electrical engineering at HTWG Konstanz, before going on to gain professional experience as an applications engineer.
"Firstly, things turn out differently, and secondly, differently than expected"
After 3 years, in January 2020, he decided to embark on a longer adventure abroad – he quit his job, packed his bags, got on a plane and was off!
However, after just 2 months in "Down Under", the coronavirus put an end to his big dreams. He was forced to pack his bags again and returned home, both sad and relieved at the same time.
"If not now, then when?"
With plenty of determination, he set about turning the idea that had long been simmering in the back of his mind into reality.
To develop his own electric off-road karts in order to bring the former hard court of TuS Rötenbach back to life. At the same time, to use the vacant Rötenbach clubhouse as a small, cosy stopover.
With plenty of support from friends and family, the goal was achieved in April 2021. Gaspedal Rötenbach has since been built into a unique kart track with a cosy restaurant. A meeting place for young and old, for locals and for those wanting to get to know the real Rötenbach.
Thomas Albrecht is not one for grand speeches. But he is someone who gets stuck in. And with Gaspedal, he shows how to bring technology, entrepreneurial spirit and genuine love of home quite literally onto the road.
